| Minecart launches work as long as you have decent iron armor. You lose half you health though. I have tested it. Water doesn't take away 100% of falling DMG any more. I have an idea. More later | |

| We should work on finding a speedy, secret, and legitimate form of travel with tnt. That doesn't do much damage to you

The water needs to be 2 or more deep. If it doesn't work try making it deeper.

| You can make a 2 deep landing pad with steps at the edges so you can get out easily and onto the next cannon. I may make a small proof of concept. | |

| You guys always know how to make me want to play minecraft! Definitely going to work on firing minecarts out of cannon without killing the passenger. If he's dead whats the point

| 100% armor will protect the first hit no matter what... although each charge counts as a hit... So just hack in near-indestructible diamond armor and LET THE CONTEST BEGIN! | |

| Tried afew designs for firing passengers of minecarts using a cannon...my tests proved unsuccessful, either launching me a block or so from the cannon or a catastrophic failure (BOOM!). I'll continue to test different models though, despite my miniscule knowledge of cannons and redstone wire. | |

It is called the Jolly Creeper. It can fire almost 300 blocks and shoot 3 TNT shots. It uses a water timer for perfect timing. I am not a fan of the water timing as you have to replace the redstone every time. You guys should take a look That thing is cool I made an improved model of a people cannon that fires someone 27 or so blocks using 12 tnt. I have pics of the actual cannon if anyone wants to see

| The Jolly creeper was before Redstone Repeater blocks. A simpler one would use that.
BTW Do share your idea | |

| I'v seen that video a few times. Only problem is it is not very portable. Red stone repeaters can make the timer much more compact. 10 repeaters set to 4 equal the time it takes 1 TNT to ignight. (80 ticks) 1 torch is 2 ticks. There is no need for a complected system as it has a range of 40 to 80 ticks. Do not try 80, try 76 to be safe. | |

| I see that this thread is all about Cannons, which, apart from blowing up my mates, I have no experience but I do have maths, and so i'll write my ideas of TNT damage somewhere else. On Topic, Etho's cannons are the best. End of. His latest 360 cannon made of lava, it makes ghasts run away | |

| Please don't bump old threads.
Etho's 360 cannons are cool but not worth the time to build in PVP. A simple cannon is better
